Every family has a hamburger recipe and Corporal Freddies is no different.
Our recipe is super simple and super tasty, just how you want your hamburgers, right?
We don’t always wait for a big BBQ or event to have hamburgers in our house, we will quite easily have them over a weekend for either lunch or dinner and with this easy recipe you can make enough to freeze a few for next time. Who doesn’t love a bit of batch cooking!
Makes 6-8 Burgers
Ingredients
- 500g mince beef
- 1 x small onion (diced)
- 1 x medium carrot (grated)
- 1 x egg
- 1 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1 tsp minced garlic
- 1 tsp olive oil
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 3 tbsp Corporal Freddies Worcestershire Sauce
Method
- Mix all together with half the breadcrumbs
- Add remaining breadcrumbs
- Knead together till mixture is combined well
- Make into desired size hamburgers making sure you get the air out of them by passing each one between your hands a few times (we like them big enough to cover the hamburger roll but not too big that when you flatten them they will be bigger than the roll).
- Place burgers on a tray, cover and let them rest for atleast 30 minutes in the fridge
- Heat oil in a non-stick pan or on grill on a medium heat
- Cook burgers to your preference
- Transfer cooked burgers to plate and continue to cook the remaining burgers
Make hamburgers with your favourite fillings and ENJOY.
TOP TIP - while the burgers are cooking, get your burger buns, cut them in half, and toast for 1 minute either cut side or until a light golden brown.
Option Make sliders or meatballs from this same recipe, perfect for entertaining and when you feel like something a little different.
